It also exists in music: love at first sight. Or rather, the first listening impression. But many a detail escapes the ear when listening to a musical work once. Listen twice is the valuable tip that the Alte Oper is making a virtue of with a new series. The idea is based on a simple insight: listening to the same work again gives a stronger experience. That's why the programs in the "2 × Listen" series feature only one masterpiece of chamber music - but twice. A workshop discussion with artistic director Dr. Markus Fein and the artists of the evening on the background to the composition, compositional peculiarities and interpretational thoughts completes the two listening experiences and opens the ears for an even more intense rendezvous with the sounds. The subscription "2 × listen" offers all four dates of the series in one go.
